We now employ over 130 people at First Ireland and our vast client list extends from individuals to large corporations.

Our Story

  1. We opened our doors in 1982.
  2. At a ceremony hosted by the then Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, our new brand First Ireland Risk Management Ltd. was launched.
  3. First Ireland acquired Excel Insurance Brokers Ltd.
  4. First Ireland expanded further with the acquisition of Pat Mee Insurances.
  5. We moved to our new specially constructed HQ in Parkgate Street
  6. Our staff numbers hit 100.
  7. First Ireland Finance was established as an in-house Premium Payment Facility
  8. We added a new 6000 sq. ft wing to our HQ in Parkgate Street
  9. First Ireland won "Best Life & Pensions Broker 2016" in Ireland at the 2016 LPI awards.
  10. First Ireland won the “General Insurance Educational Achievement Award 2019”
  11. We launched our online easy payment and account management solution MyFI.
  12. Linda Gallagher (Joint MD) formally elected to the Office of Deputy President of the Insurance Institute 2020-2021
